I just turned 23. I have long brown hair and light brown eyes. I work full time as a Secretary Receptionist in Blacksburg,
Virginia
I was raised on a farm in Newport, Virginia. I lived in the same place for all of my life. That is, until August
of 2001 when I moved to Christiansburg in hopes of making it easier for myself to finish college. Just this past August
of 2003, I moved back to Newport and closed the deal on my first house. (I'm so happy!) Im still not too sure what I want
to do with my education yet, or how I want to further it, but hopefully I'll figure it out soon. I'm most interested in Sports
Medicine and Physical Therapy. I hope to be able to stay in this general area because I love it here. But you never know what
may happen.
I was a sports freak in high school. I ran long distance in Track & Field, competing in the 1-mile and the 2-mile
events. I'll never forget that as long as I live. We practiced every day, no matter what. We ran non-stop from
3:30-6pm Monday through Friday. I hated it...running 5-8 miles a day was for the birds. Still don't know why I did it.
But softball...that's a different story. I lived and breathed softball. That was a very happy time in my life.
I had record batting averages. I went all-district 2 years in a row, and was a shoe-in to play in college. My
first pick was East Tennesee State, but an easy ride at Concord was waiting on me and I chose not to go. I was in
love. Naturally, I made the hardest decision I've ever had to make. I stayed in the area hoping to marry the one person
who could have ever talked me out of it. I never thought he'd find a reason to leave...but he did. I used to really
regret not going off to college, but I don't dwell on it a lot. I wouldn't have gotten to experience some of the things I've
experienced. Im only 23. I still have options. I already have an Associates degree, and that's a good start for now. Besides,
I have a family that means the world to me who I could never leave behind, and a bunch of crazy friends to take care
of! I have a lot of fun. I always meet new people who know more cool things to do. I did kickboxing and martial arts for a
year. That was really cool and fun, but also hard! It was a real challenge, but also true mental torment. You wouldn't
believe how much a fighter will put themselves through, especially on the day of a match. The biggest factor,
without a doubt is your own mentality. The hours before the fight build and build. The moments right before the
first punch is thrown are the most crucial. That's generally when a fighter knows if they've won or lost. When people
joke that they see the fear written all over your face, it's not far from the truth. After you experience that,
a jab in the face is nothing.
Anyway, I've danced, and I've bungee jumped, which was WAY cool! I sang with a group in high school-- We performed at
the 2nd game ever at Turner Field for the Atlanta Braves and another time on the CBS Morning Show in New York city. We traveled
up and down the East Coast just singing here and there. Memorable times...
In the seventh grade, I knew that I had a passion for writing. I entered a writing contest to win $10,000.
I got a letter from the National Library of Poetry in Washington DC that told me I was chosen to enter the
finals. I hadn't won the money, but I had made it to the final round. By the end of the contest, I still didn't
win the money. But to my great surprise, the company awarded me by publishing my poem in a book of collected
works. I had never felt so special before. I was a published writer by the time I was a teenager. I knew that I'd
spend the rest of my life trying to publish a book of my own. I'm still working on that goal and I hope to have a
book published by the time I'm 25.
There are a lot of things I enjoy doing. I like sports and stuff; the general crazy-youth selection, like: Nascar, motocross,
baseball, softball, swimming, boating, etc. One of my favorite things is following the PBR. Bull Riding has always been something
I really loved to watch. I've started traveling to the events and I've even gotten to party with the bull riders. They are
an awesome bunch of guys. They totally know how to party, but they are genuine great guys. You might even find some pictures
of me and the guys on here.
Most recently, I've reunited with my high school sweet-heart and I'm the happiest I've been in years. It's just like
old times, only WAY better. Life sure throws us curve balls sometimes. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined us
getting back together and being as happy as we are together once again. But here we are, and I know the best is yet to come.
I could write a book about my life, and I know I've left out a lot here, but hopefully you get the idea. But this
website isn't just about me... it's about my family and friends too. I hope you find something to enjoy here. :)

I stopped by D.C. on the way back from a PBR event in Baltimore. I saw the Damaged Pentagon(below)--what a sight-- and climbed
up on some statues and took pictures. That was fun!

Work like you
don't need the money.
Love like you've
